Once you have completed the swim, you will exit the swim area
and go into the transition area to retrieve your bicycle and gear. You will exit the transition area and go out
on a bike ride in the bike lane along Up-River Road. The bike course will be marked with cones and
police protection will be provided at certain areas along the course. The bike course is not on closed streets so
you must be aware of vehicle traffic at all times. You will complete the bike ride by coming
back into the transition area at West Guth Park. In transition, you will place your bike back
in the same spot where you retrieved your bike.
You will then go out of transition for the run. You will finish the run at a location close
to the picnic pavilion. You may retrieve
your bike and gear from transition only after the Race Director has given
permission for participants to enter transition. Permission is typically given once the last
bike rider leaves transition to go out on the run. An awards ceremony will take place at
9:15am. If you have won an award, you
must be present to receive that award.
Awards will not be mailed to you.
